For those of you who don't understand this situation, I'd ask that you not judge. I assure you that it's much more complex and nuanced than you can imagine. Certainly not anything that could be summed up with words like "cheating" or "adultery". I say this not to easy my own conscience (which has enough weight on it already, I assure you), but rather to encourage you to move along without feeling hatred or anger toward a stranger whose situation isn't something you understand. Think about it: I bet if you think hard enough, you'll be able to remember times you've done things that are generally viewed as "wrong", and in some of those cases, you had reasons that were your own and justified your moral acrobatics. If you're still reading... I'm looking for a special sort of relationship. I'm not interested in, nor will I ever be, ending either of our marriages. If you're single, I'm not sure I'm interested. I feel like only another married person could understand why I'm even posting here. If you're single, and after reading my ad you feel like we possibly could have a relationship, go ahead and email me and tell me why. You could what I'm looking for "friends with benefits", and in some ways, that would be incredibly accurate. In others, it's way too simplistic. I am looking for a friend, certainly. But more than a friend. Someone I connect with on many levels. I think we'll probably share interests and hobbies. Our situations, as I've stated, should probably be similar. You should love your spouse. I love mine. But maybe we both believe that we could share a form of love with someone else, too. And yes, I am indeed interested in sexual compatibility as well. ;) Me? My interests are running (I'd LOVE a running partner.), reading, snowboarding, pretty much anything outdoors, television, movies, and music (of course, right?). You? Well, I've never kept a list, per se. :) I believe that women of all kinds are beautiful. In terms of companionship, though, I think I do have some preferences... - Yes, I think there should be mutual physical attraction, so I think we'll want to exchange pictures early. - I typiy prefer fellow athletes. Mostly because I feel like we relate better, and that opens up a world of possibilities in terms of things we can do together. - As I've mentioned, you should probably be married too. - Ideally, we share some interests. If you hated LOST, we probably wouldn't get along. ;) - I'd love someone who I can talk to about things like religion, philosophy. Or books. Or movies. Or anything and everything. - You should probably be very affectionate, because I am. I will drive you crazy if you don't like to be touched or kissed. - You should be willing to discuss the possibility that polyamory is valid for some people. I'm thinking through that myself. An ideal relationship, I think, will involve doing things together when we can. We'll both have other people's schedules to worry about, so yeah, this might be a little non-traditional. One thought I had: If we both had memberships at the same 24-hour gym, we could work out together. I think we'll have a lot to talk about, seeing as how we're going through something very similar.
